How to Use Ginger for Beauty Treatments

Ginger is not only used as a favorite spice to your favorite dish, but this can also be used as homemade cosmetic treatments. Its soothing and warming qualities make it valuable ingredients in some homemade beauty treatments. Ginger root has anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, and antioxidant properties. Ginger can also be used for cosmetic purposes. Here are some ways to use ginger for beauty treatments.

Tip #1: Using the Ginger Skin Soothing Cream

Prepare all the necessary materials you’ll need such as a piece of fresh ginger (approximately 4 inches), oven-proof glass container, 4 tsp jojoba oil, 4 tsp almond oil, 4 tsp vitamin E oil, 1 cup cocoa butter, small jar with lid, 2 cups sea salt, 1 cup dry milk, mixing bowl, ¼ cup fresh ginger(finely chopped), 2 drops eucalyptus essential oil, 1 drop rosemary essential oil, 1 drop lemon essential oil, 1 Vitamin E capsule, 2 tbsp. fresh ginger(finely grated),2 tbsp. cold pressed extra virgin olive oil.Ginger for Beauty Treatments

Turn on the oven. Set it to the lowest possible setting. Grate a piece of ginger very finely and squeeze the grated ginger with your fingers to extract the juice. Make at least 1.4 ginger juice. Pour the ginger juice onto an oven-proof container and then add 4 tsp jojoba oil, 4 tsp. of sweet almond oil, 4 tsp. of Vitamin E oil, and 1 cup of cocoa butter. Put the oven-proof container in an oven just long enough to melt the cocoa butter.

Use a spoon to stir the ingredients. Mix it thoroughly and put the ginger skin soothing cream in a small jar and secure the lid. You can store the ginger mixture in dry, cool place. Use it as needed.

Tip #2: Using Ginger Bath Salts

In a mixing bowl, measure 2 cups of sea salt and 1 cup of dry milk. And then stir in ¼ cup of grated ginger with 2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Add 1 drop of rosemary essential oil, 1 drop of lemon essential oil and the oil of Vitamin E capsule. Mix well. Set aside for a few minutes, and stir it again.

Prepare the bathtub by filling it with warm water. Pour in the ginger bath salts and stir. This is to make sure that the oils are thoroughly mixed with the warm water in the tub. Soak yourself and relax.

Tip #3: Using Ginger Scalp Conditioner

In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp. of finely grated ginger with 2 tbsp. olive oil. And then massage the mixture into the scalp. Leave the ginger scalp conditioner on your scalp for 25 minutes and rinse your hair using shampoo. Rinse well.

Tip #4: Using Ginger Moisturizer

Ginger root when mixed with oils can help smoothen out dry and cracked skin. You can also use this to remove dandruff that can be an embarrassing beauty problem. Some shampoos for dandruff are often harsh to the scalp. Ginger has natural antiseptic properties and helps in improving the blood flow in the scalp that makes it an effective anti-dandruff homemade shampoo. This can also be used as facial or body exfoliator to remove dead skin cells.

There are many uses of ginger and all these can be added to your list of cosmetic treatments. But if you are sensitive to the crop then you might as well not use it for this purpose and resort to other means to beautify yourself.
